BIGGEST EVER BRICK TANK MODEL RELEASED

The Tank Museum has released an exclusive Tiger 131 brick model kit – the biggest brick tank ever – in association with European brick toy manufacturer Cobi.

Tiger 131 is the world’s only running Tiger I, a highly feared German WWII tank which has become famous in film, games, and online. It is The Tank Museum’s most popular exhibit, with visitors travelling from all around the globe to see it.

The new tank brick model kit is the biggest of its kind, made up of nearly 8,000 bricks, in an impressive 1/12 scale.

Simon Prager, Head of Commercial Operations at The Tank Museum, says: “We are delighted to be launching the biggest brick tank ever, based on The Tank Museum’s Tiger 131, nearly exactly 80 years after Tiger 131’s capture on 24 April 1943.”

All pre-orders from The Tank Museum will come with a free Tigerfibel and mug, with an exclusive numbered ingot from Cobi.

Robert Podleś, CEO of Cobi, says: “We’re excited to be working with The Tank Museum on our biggest brick kit ever – and what better tank to recreate than the fearsome Tiger 131.

“The 1/12 scale Tiger, coming in at 70 cm (27.5 inches) long, will make an impressive addition to the Cobi family, joining the 1/28 and 1/48 scale Tiger 131s.”
The Tank Museum has exclusivity of the impressive kit for ten days, therefore all pre-orders through The Tank Museum’s Online Shop will receive the model kits ten days before anyone else.

In April 1943, Tiger 131 was fought to a standstill and abandoned; the first Tiger to be captured intact by the Western Allies, it was an important prize. King George VI and Churchill both came to see it in Tunisia, after which it was shipped to London and displayed on Horse Guards Parade.

Now it resides in The Tank Museum, attracting visitors from around the world and generating crucial funds for the Museum.

Ready for delivery on 16 September, in time for The Tank Museum’s Autumn Tiger Day, pre-order the biggest brick tank today.
